Welcome to the PPP

The Pagan Poetry Pages is entering its 9th year in 2010; founded by three Irishwomen Dawn, Socarie and Beirn it was created to be a space on the web devoted to the concept of Pagan poetry and the Pagan Poetrry Movement. The definition of "pagan poetry" is necessarily very wide; it can be defined as the expression of man's condition in relation to his physical environment or simply a poem written by a pagan.
The PPP has undergone several incarnations; the current editorial staff consists of Beirn Stormy and Starchild.
Here on the PPP the living movement of poetry in the Pagan Community - and prose, shorts stories and Journals - is presented for your enjoyment. Our members section provides an archive of work, the chance to discuss poetry and books, present your work for feedback or simply enjoy the work of other writers.
Our Editions, up to 8 times a year, are chosen from both members work and outside submissions to editors@paganpoetrypages.com

MEMBERS SECTION; we have an active lively members section. Poets and writers are always welcome so sign up today. Please note there is one rule - you MUST post an introduction, it just means we can get to know a bit about you. Other than that, all you have to do is read, post and enjoy the site!

Forthcoming Poetry Book
Tuesday, February 02, 2010 (12:01:07)
Pagan Poetry News I am very pleased to announce that I am publishing my first Poetry Book in the Spring of 2010.
Since finding my gift for writing I have held a dream of getting in print and it would appear that 2010 is going to be my year for doing so. I have had a few poems featured in the Merry Meet magasine and various local publications. I've also got an entry in the National Poetry Anthology for 2010 which has recently been published.
I will keep you all updated on the progress of the book which is to be called Enchanted Moon, and published in my real name, Ruth Francis-Foster.
Blessings and Best wishes - Avalonia

The Winner is....!!
Saturday, January 30, 2010 (10:16:19)

We are pleased to announce that the Imbolg edition of the Pagan Poetry Pages is now available. This edition also includes submissions for the Pagan Poetry Pages‘ Yule 2009 poetry competition, for which we had some wonderful entries.

The winners, in order, are:

* S. Syam with an untitled poem, inspired by the image of the pen;

* Audrey Haney with “The Muse’s Aid“, also inspired by the image of the pen; and

* Martin Lane with “Encounter“, a poem inspired by the image of the green stump.

We hope you enjoy reading the Imbolg edition and we shall post details of our next competition shortly.
